Gaushala (Cow Shed) is designed to accommodate native breed, the Gir cow. The milk is used to make organic ghee and other dairy produce, bringing employment to the local villages. The project uses a hybrid of modern and traditional practices, including the innovative repurposing of materials from a recently demolished building on site. Studio Saar expanded the brief to provide recycled waste from the farming process to produce power, making the farm’s ongoing agricultural operations net-zero.
